Ashley Boothby Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund

Over two years ago, in March 2023, we lost a remarkable soul, our classmate Ashley Boothby (‘13), who left us after a valiant battle with mental illness. You may remember Ashley as exceptionally bright, graduating first in our class as a Dean’s Scholar and member of the Order of the Coif. Ashley was dedicated to pursuing justice and had an unwavering commitment to her community. As intelligent, compassionate, and accomplished as Ashley was, she battled her own mental health struggles. Ashley’s parents, Larry and Susan Boothby, and sister, Lindsay Boothby, established the Ashley Boothby Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund at Colorado Law School to honor Ashley’s spirit and legacy, reminding student recipients and the community of the importance of seeking truth, fostering justice, and embracing compassion.

As fellow classmates and close friends of Ashley, we are launching a fundraising campaign to raise $10,000 by Tuesday, November 11, for Ashley’s scholarship fund, which will support students at Colorado Law. Larry and Susan have generously agreed to match every gift, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000 towards the $10,000 fundraising goal. Ashley’s scholarship is the official fund for the class of 2013, and we ask you to join us in supporting the fundraiser with a gift that is meaningful to you. We and the Boothby family greatly appreciate any gift you feel inspired to donate. Please also consider helping us spread the word by sharing on your social media.
