This fund enables Director Seth Marder to provide resources for the professional development of trainees (students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career scientists) interested in energy and sustainability. At a time when the need for support has never been greater, we wish to be more inclusive and provide mechanisms for trainees from across the CU Boulder and NREL institutions to do so. These funds will enhance our trainee-affiliation model, fostering a sense of belonging through professional development, events, and networking. They will be used for transformative scholarships, awards, student travel grants, and other critical needs as they arise. RASEI is committed to creating and nurturing an inclusive environment for community building, and the Director's Fund for Professional Development in Energy and Sustainability will help prepare the next generation of the workforce.
